Theme Park: Morbid Manor

A mansion filled with puzzle and mazes themed around the short stories and poems by Edgar Allen Poe. Bringing the mystery and morbid tales to life. The main structure would be the mansion, which is 3 stories high. The house would be inspired by the layouts and styles of north eastern american mansions from the 1800’s, such as; Castle Hill Ipswich in Massachusetts, Cairnwood Bryn Athyn and Fonthill Doylestown in Pennsylvania. It will also take inspiration from gothic european castle ornamental decorations, which decorates the outer-part of the structure.
The first floor of the mansion will open into a large foyer. In front of the door will be a grand staircase to the second floor. Behind the stairs will be an exit to the backyard and underneath the stairs will be the entrance to one of the restaurants. The entire first floor will be themed around the short story, “Masque of the Red Death”. Most of the first floor will be dedicated to a dark ride, telling the story, emphasising the different rooms. The line would consist of an extension of the foyer so it will feel as though you are moving into the ballroom. The rest of the first floor will be the “Masque of the Red Death” restaurant, which will be placed behind the ballroom. The people in the restaurant will be able to enjoy an elegant dinner while watching the dark ride from a different perspective.
On the second floor will be the study and 2 bedrooms. The study will be to the right of the staircase. In the study will be a show inspired by the Raven. It will vary on what the show consists of; it might be a re-enactment or it could be an interaction with the Raven itself. The line of this will be lined with book cases. To the left of the stairs there will be the bedrooms. One of the bedrooms will be Edgar Allen Poe’s. Poe’s room will be like a small museum that will help people learn more about the author. The other bedroom will be a characters which will change daily or weekly and be decorated according to the story/poem the character is from. Small items will be available for guests to interact with and occasionally an actor will play the character and be there to talk to guests.
The third floor will be an attic. It’ll be the floor with the largest open space. Snack/food carts will be decorated behind boxes and trinkets to blend into the attic. A puzzle room themed around the “Tell Tale Heart” will take up half the attic. Additionally there will be bathrooms on the third and first floor and an elevator that is hidden in a column that is decorating the outside of the building.
Once guests exit the mansion, they will be greeted with a well kept garden. A hedge maze that is themed around “Gold Bug” a short story about searching for treasure will take up about half the yard.  It will be a fun maze adventure or a treasure hunt depending on what the guest would like, either way it will be much more light hearted then the mansion. In the back right corner of the backyard will be a small cemetery with a mausoleum. The mausoleum will be a gift shop and serve as the exit to the entire estate as well.

While the Blue station, closer affiliated to WJZ, was used to test drive unaired programs or host less popular programs, such as news. It had been said that the network was split because of the colored pins being placed on their bulletin board, but...
